Patrick Marinaro is senior counsel at NBP advising clients in complex commercial disputes, investigations, and administrative and regulatory matters, with a focus on financial fraud and fiduciary/corporate malfeasance.
Balancing aggressive advocacy and thoughtful problem-solving, Patrick’s tireless, pragmatic, and client-centered approach focusses on delivering exceptional results tailored to each client’s circumstances and objectives. Through detailed strategic, factual, and legal analysis, coalition building, and creative solutions, Patrick helps clients assess risk clearly and develop comprehensive approaches to navigate complex legal landscapes effectively and efficiently.
Prior to joining NBP, Patrick served on the staff of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick as Special Assistant to the Governor’s Chief Legal Counsel. He also worked on a series of local, state, and federal political campaigns, and for a San Francisco Bay Area based non-profit.

Patrick is a 2011 graduate of Boston University School of Law and a member of the Massachusetts Bar. While at BUSL, Patrick was awarded the Best Brief in the Edward C. Stone Moot Court Competition, and selected to represent BUSL at the 2011 Sutherland Cup Competition, a competition which he and his teammates won and were awarded Best Brief. He also worked as a research assistant for visiting professor Elizabeth Nowicki, and as a clinician in the American Legislative Practice Clinic. During law school, Patrick interned for Magistrate Judge Leo T. Sorokin and the United States Attorney’s Office, Civil Division.
Patrick received his B.A. in Political Science from Trinity College, where he was a member of the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society, an editor on the student newspaper, and a member of the football team.
Patrick is admitted to practice in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He also has advised clients on cases and/or appeared in the state and federal courts of California, Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania, as well as in AAA and FINRA proceedings.
